Taylor began her journey on YouTube beginning by making ASMR videos using her smartphone. PewDiePie featured her in his video about gaming shortly when she had 50,000 subscribers, about one and a half months after posting her first video. Taylor had stopped making videos around 2 months when she reached around 100 000 followers. She put all her videos on YouTube to avoid technical issues with her new hardware. Following a break of a few days when she was able to start producing videos. One of her most watched ASMR triggers is ASMR 10 Triggers that aid in falling asleep (35 million views in August 2022). In July 2017, she posted another very popular video ASMR 20 Triggers to help to Sleep (38 million views as of august 2022). She appeared in August 2017 interview in the Shane Dawson videoand shortly after she hit 1 million subscribers on YouTube. Wired UK reported that in February 2019, she made $1000 per day from ads on her YouTube channel.

Helfer was raised in rural Donalda, Alberta, Canada, to Dennis and Elaine Helfer. Helfer is of German, English and Swedish descendance. She was educated at the William E. Hay Composite High School of Stettler located in Alberta. The three sisters Tammy, Tara, and Trena were also employed by her on the family farm. When she was 17, The agent from her modeling agency noticed her waiting in line in a theatre.
